Assessment

Students applying for Rundle College from grade 7 through 11 must take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT).

To register your son or daughter to write this exam, parents must go on-line directly to the Secondary School Admission Test Board site at www.ssat.org. Here you will find important information about the test format, how to write the test, as well as study strategies.

Rundle College is a testing center for the SSAT. Our school code is #6198. Students may register to write the SSAT at the school location which is most convenient to them.

SSAT Testing dates in Alberta for 2017/2018 will be available in August.

Students applying for entrance to Grades 1 through 6 are not required to write a formal entrance test; however, if after reviewing the submitted school records there is uncertainty about a student's suitability to our school, a comprehensive psychoeducational assessment may be required. As part of the admission process, a short assessment will be administered by our school during the interview process. Details will be discussed prior to an interview.

Students applying for Grade 12 need to submit their Grade 9 Alberta Provincial Achievement Test results and a copy of their high school transcript to date. Assessment is usually waived if the student's academic records indicate that they have the necessary potential and academic background to be successful in our university preparatory program.
