Our Jr. Cobras Summer Camps are dedicated to providing children with educational, recreational, and learning experiences through sports and participation.

We believe that children should be given opportunities to participate in many different activities with team sports being one of them. Our camps are designed too:

  • Provide a source of recreation for children.
  • Provide children with an opportunity to learn about sports and improve their athletic skills through participation and competition.
  • Give children a chance to grow socially by learning teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play.
  • Provide children with a source of fun and good times which will enrich their lives
  • Develop fundamental skills in basketball, volleyball, soccer and rugby/football.

These Sport programs will be offered in separate groups for girls and boys, whereas the STEAM programs are co-ed.

STEAM Camp Details:

Robot Wars & Games/ Art-Mash Up
Do you love robots and have a passion for adventure? Then this is the perfect camp for you! Build, wire, and program your own robot to play games and compete in battles. Customize your bot to navigate an obstacle course, win a soccer match, and even challenge another robot in the ultimate robot battle royal! Learn valuable skills in coding, problem-solving, and engineering while designing your robot to meet a range of exciting challenges.

Jr. Coding and Art Academy
Use Scratch to code a story to life! Take your readers on an animated journey as you learn to code dialogue, scene transitions, and game elements. Perhaps your characters will go on a treasure hunt, or choose their own adventure...it’s all up to you! Campers will cover fundamental coding concepts including conditional statements, iteration (repetition with loops), and variables.

Tech Mash-up (Gr. 4-7)
Have you seen the art work of Robo-Picasso? How about Robo-Da Vinci? Come join us to design, build, and program the artist into your robot. Using Lego Mindstorms, campers will learn valuable programming skills, the engineering design process, and building mechanics!

Tech Mash-up (Gr. 1-3)
How do you create a banana piano? Join us to find out! Using Scratch and Makey Makey, campers will engage in early engineering, computer science, and coding through electric circuits with conductive objects from the real world to play games on your computer that you have coded! Just imagine if you could control your next video game on your terms...using play dough!

3D Printing and Design
Make your 3D dreams a reality! Join us to design and create your own 3D-printed objects. Use Tinkercad to build your favourite animal, vehicle, food...even a Pokémon character! With 3D printing the possibilities are endless!

Tinker with Tech
Come and tinker with us! Campers will be using various tech to create an interactive puppet show! Not only will we be using Dash and Dot robots as characters, we will also be using paper circuits and squishy circuits to make your set light up and come alive! Bring your creativity and let your imaginations run wild!  Lets see what we can create together, and give your friends and family a show!

Robotic Arm
Have you ever wanted to create a robot that can mimic your movements? Come and build one with us! Campers will learn about the anatomy and biomechanics of the human hand, and learn how to build a sensorized glove and a robotic hand! Through creativity, innovation and collaboration with all the campers, together we will come up with new ideas on how to improve the performance of the robot hand!

Jr. Engineering Academy & Art
In this fun hands-on camp, Jr. Engineers will express their creativity as they design, create and build to overcome various STEM Challenges. Come use and grow your creativity, ingenuity, and innovative thinking as you collaborate and compete in various design challenges. Campers will learn how to create exciting inventions that use sounds, movement and/or lights.
