Guidelines for Rundle Visitors & Volunteers

Effective November 15, 2021

These guidelines support those visitors who come into Rundle buildings by describing the expectations around COVID-19 protocols.

All visitors and volunteers must show proof of full vaccination status, or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within the preceding 72 hours, or provide a medical exemption letter.

Vaccination Status

Every person that comes into a Rundle building is on their way to see somebody specific:

  • A parent is coming to watch their child perform;

  • A sports team is coming to see the opposing coach;

  • A plumber is coming to meet with facilities staff;

  • A guest speaker is coming in to meet with a teacher.

The Rundle employee that is hosting the visitor is responsible for arranging to check vaccination status using the AB Covid Records Verifier. Ideally, the visitor will be informed about this requirement before coming onto school property.

The vaccination status of spectators and volunteers over 12 years old will be checked. Rundle students, participating athletes, and anyone under 12-years old will not be checked.

Visitors who are unable to fulfill this requirement will be asked to leave the building.

Please Do Not Visit

If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, runny nose/nasal congestion, or feel generally unwell.

Additional Guidelines

  1. All people will wear masks while indoors unless actively involved in physical activity.

  2. Visitors will maintain 2 metre physical distancing where possible.

  3. Change rooms are accessible for athletes of both teams.

  4. Everyone attending an event is expected to have completed mandatory health screening with the provincial questionnaire.

  5. Anyone who becomes symptomatic (i.e., fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell or taste) while at Rundle must leave the building as soon as possible.

  6. To promote and facilitate hand hygiene, everyone should use hand sanitizer when entering school buildings. Sanitizing stations are located at each school entrance.
