Vision & Values Campaign 2021-2022
This year’s campaign is focused on innovation and wellness and there are opportunities to enhance these elements throughout our schools and programs. We have established a variety of funds again this year to encourage our community to support the Rundle initiatives that they feel most passionate about.
Together, we are Moving Forward and your support will ensure that we can continue to provide the complete Rundle experience to each and every one of our students.
Your generosity makes a difference in your child’s education and the lives of all of our students.
Thank you for your support!
Where we need your support
Bursary Fund | Goal: $200,000
Donations made to the Bursary Fund support our current students who require financial aid in order to continue their education at Rundle.
Over the past year, we have received a significant increase in the number of applications from students requiring financial support to maintain their enrolment at Rundle. These students are forever grateful for the opportunity that our generous donors have provided and it is our goal to support our values of togetherness, kindness, curiosity, and wellness.
Shaw Birdies for Kids Matching Campaign
BFK is back! We are excited to announce the launch of this year’s Shaw Birdies for Kids (BFK) matching campaign and Rundle’s participation as a charity partner for the second year in a row.
This year, all funds raised for our school through the BFK program will be directed to our annual student Bursary Fund which supports our Rundle students requiring financial assistance to continue their education at our school.
You can support our students and this life-changing program by donating to the Rundle Bursary Fund. Increase your impact, until August 31, 2022, all donations made to Rundle through the Shaw Donation Portal will be matched by up to 50%!!!
Named Family Endowment Funds
We are happy to continue to offer our community the opportunity to create a Named Family Endowment Fund. This is a wonderful way to contribute to a Rundle program that is especially meaningful to you, by establishing a fund that provides an ongoing gift that benefits tuition assistance or a particular program. Your gift of $35,000 to create your family’s endowment fund can be pledged over a five-year period.
I think supporting Rundle School helps with the improvements and advancements needed in the school for our children’s success. As well to help others especially during this difficult time in dealing with COVID-19, loss of jobs, and recession.
Campus Fund | Goal: $200,000
The Campus Fund will support the creation of innovative classrooms, including technology, workspace furnishings, and enhancements at the College 7–12 school.
With your help, we can provide learning spaces that are more dynamic and adaptable to meet our students’ learning needs. Together, we can build welcoming classroom spaces that are more functional, comfortable, and versatile to encourage engagement, nurture creativity, and accommodate collaboration, while also providing necessary quiet study spaces.
Classroom Recognition Opportunity
We would like to show our appreciation through this new recognition opportunity.
With your gift of $20,000 (optionally pledged over four years), you will receive a recognition plaque proudly displaying your family name outside one of our new innovative classrooms at the College 7–12 school that you helped build.
We want to give back to the school, as it has gone above and beyond to give to our children.
Capital Fund | Academy Redesign | Goal: $200,000
Donations made to the Capital Fund — Academy Redesign project support expenses for the enhancements already completed at the Academy campus.
Thanks to our donors, we have made some significant improvements to the Academy school, improving both the aesthetics and functionality of the learning spaces for our deserving students and teachers.
We love everything about Rundle Academy — the one-on-one, hands-on approach has helped our daughter excel. We love the focus on executive function deficits as this is where many children with ADHD struggle.
Gifts can be made on our online giving portal.
We are grateful to accept donations by cheque as well (payable to Rundle College Society). Please mail to:

Is Rundle a registered charity? Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes, Rundle is a charitable organization registered under Rundle College Society with the Canada Revenue Agency (#107940892RR0001).
You will receive a tax receipt for any donation, so your donation will benefit both our students and your tax return.
What does my tuition pay for?
As is common in independent schools across North America, Rundle’s tuition fees only cover the cost of school operations. Program enhancements, supplemental equipment and resources, facility upgrades and capital projects are all funded by our generous donors.
Why does Rundle need to fundraise?
The Rundle experience would not be possible without the help of our generous donors. Our beautiful facilities, equipment and enhanced programming are funded primarily by charitable gifts made to our schools. Currently, tuition fees only cover operation costs. In order to avoid a significant increase in class size or tuition, we appeal to our community to help us raise the additionally required funds.
Who fundraises at Rundle?
Everyone! Rundle’s culture of giving and gratitude continues to grow and our community is committed to making our vision a reality. Rundle teachers, staff, Board members, students, alumni, current families, parent committees, local businesses and the surrounding community all contribute to our fundraising efforts.
What is the role of the PAC vs the Advancement Department?
Rundle PACs (Parent Advisory Committees) work closely with the parents and principals at their school or campus to fundraise for specific items or initiatives benefiting a specific group of students and teachers.
The Rundle Advancement Department is responsible for managing fundraising for the Rundle College Society charitable organization, which includes the annual Vision & Values campaign, the establishment of specific required funds, bursaries, scholarships and awards.
The Rundle Advancement Department and your PAC work together to meet Rundle’s fundraising goals.
Where are funds raised directed?
Every year, a variety of funds are included as part of our annual Vision & Values giving campaign – Campus Fund, Bursary Fund, and Capital Fund. Donations made to the annual campaign are directed towards specific initiatives for that year.
Unrestricted donations can be made to the Head of School Fund, and will be directed to the areas of greatest need across our schools.
Can my donation be directed towards a specific project or campus?
Yes, you can designate your gift to any existing program offered (e.g. academic departments, athletics, arts, co-curricular). We support and appreciate donations directed towards those programs that you value most.
What if I want my donation to go where it is needed most?
Unrestricted donations can be made to the Head of School Fund and will be directed towards the areas of greatest need across our schools.
Can I make donations monthly?
Yes, monthly donations are a fantastic way to give! You can choose the amount that fits your budget and still provide a substantial legacy for Rundle’s programs and students. It all adds up. Monthly donations can be set up on our donation site. A tax receipt for monthly donations will be sent in February of the following calendar year.
Are there other giving options available?
Yes, there are so many ways to give. In addition to one-time, online donations and monthly giving, there are a number of other opportunities to give throughout the year. Fundraising initiatives like Skip the Depot and FlipGive are a great way to participate in our giving program. Other options include gifts in kind, securities and planned giving.
