First Day of School – Monday, August 31
The first day of school for all Academy students is Monday, Aug. 31. The school day begins at 8:10 am and ends at 3:05 pm.
Rundle Academy students are expected to wear their formal uniform on the first day of school. Students can wear spirit wear during the rest of the first week of school (September 1-4). Please review our 2026-27 Uniform Guide for further clarification on the uniform and appropriate dress.
On the first day of school, your child should bring a water bottle, bagged lunch, and pluggable headphones. Students may wish to bring a hat for time outside. Returning students must also bring their Rundle devices. All other school supplies will be provided by Rundle.

Please review our Academy Traffic Routines for information on traffic procedures, as well as drop-off and pick-up routines to ensure safe travel on and off campus. We ask parents to be patient and mindful as construction is happening on and around campus
School Uniform and Used Uniform Sale
We encourage all families to review our 2026-27 Uniform Guide to familiarize yourself with the uniform expectations.
The used uniform sale that kicks off the school year happens on Thursday, Sept. 3 and Friday, Sept. 4, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Fine Arts Centre. Thank you to the Academy PAC for sponsoring this event.
Academy Welcome Back Picnic
Parents and students are invited to join us on Thursday, Sept. 3 after school for food trucks, games, mingling, and more. This annual event, organized by the Academy PAC, is a great way to come together as an Academy community to kick off the year. We encourage you to bring your extended family, including grandparents, to take part in the fun and see the new building!

First Day of School – Monday, August 31
The first day of school for all College K-6 students is Monday, Aug. 31. Students can be dropped off between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., and can be picked up at their assigned pick-up zones between 1:00 and 1:30 pm. (Reference slides 6-11 on this document for pick-up zones.) Staff will be outside to direct and support students. Unless necessary, parents are asked to stay in their vehicles during drop-off to prepare their child for the new routine, and to help ensure smooth traffic flow.
All students can wear spirit wear during the first week of school (August 31 to September 4). Spirit wear includes a Rundle-branded spirit wear top and non-uniform bottoms of their choice. (Our 2026-27 Uniform Guide provides further clarification on appropriate dress.)
On the first day of school, your child should bring a backpack (no school supplies), indoor black uniform shoes, PE Uniform and shoes (non-marking soles) in a Rundle PE bag, a snack, and a water bottle.
We’re excited to host a Back-to-School Hot Dog BBQ for all students and staff, catered by The Dogfather! Non-pork, vegetarian, vegan, and Halal chicken hot dogs will be available, along with gluten-free buns. Each student will also receive a juice box and a bag of chips.
Please see this ingredients and allergens guide for additional information. If your child would prefer not to participate, please send them with a non-microwavable lunch.

First Days of School
The first day of school for Grade 7 students is Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided on this day. If your child is a picky eater, they may also bring their own lunch and snacks. Grade 7 students do not have school on Monday, Aug. 31.
The first day of school for Grade 8 students is Monday, Aug. 31 from 8:30 to 11:30 am. Students should bring a snack. Grade 8 students do not have school on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The first day of school for Grade 9 students is Monday, Aug. 31 from 12:30 to 3:00 pm. Students should eat prior to their arrival. Grade 9 students do not have school on Tuesday, Sept. 1, except for designated Grade 9 WEB Leaders.
The first day of school for Grade 10 students is Monday, Aug. 31 from 8:30 am to 2:10 pm. Lunch will be provided on this day. Grade 10 students do not have school on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The first day of school for Grade 11 students is Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Grade 11 students do not have school on Monday, Aug. 31. Students should eat prior to their arrival.

First Day of School – Monday, Aug. 31
The first day of school for all Rundle Studio students is Monday, Aug. 31. Students should all be online for an 8:15 am start.
On the first day of school (and every school day), your child should have their laptop and iPad ready and charged (or plugged in). Students need to have Zoom open and be logged in with their Rundle-issued Google account. This is important so that teachers can contact them.
At 8:15 every morning, students must check in with their TA. They can find their TA Zoom link on the Canvas home page under “Connections.”
Students should also be wearing the appropriate school uniform, based on the schedule in the Must-Know Manual.
