Your donations help us achieve our mission, adhere to our vision and values, and deliver on our commitment to Rundle’s and our students’ success.
In order to offer an exceptional independent education that focuses on building strong character with a commitment to academic achievement, we rely on our friends, families — past and present, and alumni for generous donations.
Birdies for Kids (BFK) is a program designed to help raise funds for local charities benefiting youth and children in Alberta, engage the community in the Shaw Charity Classic tournament, and provide matching funds for each charity involved. The program itself acts as a partnership builder between donors and charities, as all funds donated flow through the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation and go directly to the selected charity.
Being part of this program, Shaw will match up to 50% of all donations made to Rundle. There is no cost to Rundle and 100% of all donations received will go towards our annual Vision & Values Campaign (see below).
To add to the excitement of this campaign, we will be doing several prize-draws for our Rundle families, including two Early Bird draws (March 24 and April 30) and a Grand Prize draw (June 30).
Follow us on social media for campaign updates and additional prize draw announcements.
Grand Prize
One night and breakfast for 2 at the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Kananaskis Nordic Spa day passes, a round of golf for 2, a one-hour golf lesson, and snacks and drinks at the Kananaskis Country Golf Course.
Thank you to our contest sponsors.
Goal: $300,000
The safety of our students has always been paramount at Rundle. Due to safety requirements set out by Alberta Education and Alberta Health Services, despite government funding, Rundle faces an increased cost of expenses. Facility enhancements, additional staff, PPE, and additional cleaning services and supplies are some of the requirements to address the safety needs of our students and faculty.
We hope our community will support this fund to help recoup these costs — allowing us to continue to sustain our small class size and reasonable tuition.

Goal: $200,000
This year, more Rundle families will be financially impacted by COVID-19. In the spirit of togetherness, we will continue to raise funds for the Endowment/Bursary Fund to help those current Rundle families who require tuition assistance.

This year, we are offering our community the opportunity to create a Named Family Endowment Fund. This is a wonderful way to contribute to a Rundle program that is especially meaningful to you, by establishing a fund that provides on-going gifts that benefit tuition assistance or particular programs. Your family fund will reflect your values and commitment to Rundle by providing assurance that programs, important to you, will continue at Rundle as part of your family legacy.
Your gift of $35,000 to create your family’s endowment fund can be pledged over a five-year period.
For more information on this legacy opportunity, please contact giving@rundle.ab.ca.

The Head of School’s Fund is an annual fund to support diverse programs in the areas of greatest need. Each year the fund’s initiative is determined by the Head of School. Last year’s fund supported many programs focusing on our community’s curiosity and innovation.
Rundle Academy Redesign Capital Campaign was launched in 2018 to support the innovative facilities enhancements at our Rundle Academy campus.
We are excited to partner with IDEO and Future Design School, the world’s leading experts in design, and are looking forward to providing our Academy students and faculty with modern, dynamic, and flexible spaces in our learning community.
The Stay in the Game Bursary has been generously sponsored by the Goodhart Family, whose four children attended and participated in sports at Rundle College from 2006–2014. Thanks to the development of the bursary, Rundle College is now able to help students afford the opportunity to play on a Rundle College Senior Varsity team.
What speaks to you?
Our Rundle families generously support programs that align with their values and passions. Our families give to enrich not only their child’s experience, but to leave their legacy at Rundle. We invite you to find what speaks to you and be part of our culture of giving at Rundle.

A charitable bequest is an option to give to Rundle and can offer significant tax relief to a donor’s estate. A bequest made to Rundle is eligible for a tax receipt applicable to the donor’s estate and can be applied to the donor’s final income tax return and offset taxes payable by the estate.
The proceeds from Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) and Registered Retirement Income Funds (RRIFs) provide an excellent way to make a planned gift to Rundle. If a donor chooses to leave a portion of their retirement funds to Rundle, they will go directly to Rundle tax-free.
In all cases we recommend that they be carefully reviewed by our donors and their legal counsel to ensure accuracy.
For more information about Planned Giving, please email giving@rundle.ab.ca.
You can donate Canadian securities to Rundle. When you donate securities directly to Rundle College Society, capital gains tax is eliminated, allowing you to increase the impact of your donation.

We do accept gifts-in-kind if they benefit our programs. e.g. equipment, furniture, materials and resources that can be utilized to support our programs or enhance our learning environment. Please contact us to discuss the nature of your gift-in-kind to ensure it will be used appropriately.

Yes. You can designate your gift to whatever existing program we offer (eg. academic departments, athletics, arts, co-curricular). We support and appreciate donations directed towards any of our programs that you value.
You will, for donations over $25. Rundle College Society is a charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency (#107940892RR0001). Therefore, your donation will benefit both our students and your tax return.
Even better. Monthly donations are very beneficial because you can choose the amount that fits your budget and still provide a sustainable legacy for Rundle’s programs and students. It all adds up. Monthly donations can be set up on our donation site. A tax receipt for monthly donations will be sent in February of the following calendar year.
