Financial Assistance

Supporting Our Families

Rundle is committed to promoting a diverse environment and believes that financial aid is an important tool in making Rundle accessible to families seeking to enrol.

Financial assistance is currently available to families with children presently enrolled in a Rundle program as well as new applicants. Support granted to families is based upon demonstrated financial need, to provide access, and to support those families currently enrolled who are experiencing temporary hardship.

Financial assistance is supported through Rundle’s operating budget as well as through generous donations from Rundle staff, students, families, alumni, and friends.

Merit Scholarships

Rundle College Society offers numerous merit scholarships each year to current Rundle students who demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics, the arts, and/or citizenship.

Entrance Bursaries for New Grade 7 Students

Rundle is pleased to offer bursaries to students entering grade 7 at Rundle for their first year at all three programs (Academy, College, and Studio). These bursaries are valued at $5,000 annually for the three-year junior high duration. These bursaries will be awarded based on the financial need of the student’s family as well as the student’s suitability for the program.  Families must confirm their continued financial need to be eligible for the bursaries in grades 8 and 9.

New families may apply for financial assistance through Apple Financial Services at applefinancialservices.ca. Bursary applications for new grade 7 students submitted by mid-January will have priority status over applications submitted after that deadline.

When applying for admission to Rundle, please discuss with the Admissions Team if your application is contingent upon receipt of an entrance bursary.

Bursaries for Returning Rundle Students

Rundle provides financial assistance to families with children presently attending Rundle and are unable to financially meet tuition fees. The February 15 deposit must be paid in full, and the family’s account for tuition fees for the current school year must be in good standing in order to apply and qualify for financial assistance.

The amount awarded is based on the family’s net income from the previous year, taking into account the number of dependents in the family and whether there has been a substantial change in the ability of the family to earn an income. Unique or special circumstances are also taken into account.

Returning families seeking to access financial assistance must apply through our third-party partner, Apple Financial. Apple Financial makes recommendations to the Rundle Financial Assistance Committee, who in turn, makes final decisions based upon those recommendations and with consideration of each family’s unique circumstances. Other factors considered may include the student’s academic performance, the student’s character, and consideration of the greater community.

Returning families may apply for financial assistance through Apple Financial Services. To be eligible for a bursary, please submit the application via Apple Financial Services by May 15.

Financial assistance decisions are determined by the Rundle Financial Assistance Committee. You will be notified of the Committee’s decision prior to the middle of June. All information will remain confidential and will only be reviewed by those processing the request and making a decision on your application. Families must re-apply for financial assistance on an annual basis.
