Waitpool consideration for grades 6 to 12. Accepting applications for grades 4 to 7.
Rundle Academy prides itself in discovering students who are a good fit for our outstanding academic and extracurricular programs, which are specifically designed for students who have been diagnosed with a learning disability, with or without ADHD. We do not offer a program or have support for students who apply with a diagnosis on the Autism spectrum.
All of our students are placed on Individual Program Plans (IPPs), which are developed in collaboration with students, their parents, and teachers. Our students master their difficulties through our individualized programs, which are based on the Alberta Education Curriculum.
We encourage all interested families to take a virtual tour and attend our information sessions to learn more about our unique character, academic, and co-curricular programs. These sessions provide valuable insight into the Rundle experience and give you opportunities to talk with staff and students.
We are accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year now. Full details are outlined below for each grade. We look forward to connecting with you soon.
In the meantime, we invite you to learn more about our College Program and Rundle Program to determine if these are a fit for your child.
Attendance at an information session is required in order to apply to Rundle Academy. Applications are made available after you have attended your information session.
Visit the Admissions Portal, after you have attended a virtual information session and received an application code.

Application Deadlines:
Applicants are accepted on an ongoing basis, but it is strongly suggested that applications be made in the fall as spaces are limited. Applications open each September for consideration for the following academic year.
Rundle Academy has both university-track and non-university-track courses in its Senior High division. Therefore, SSAT scores are not required to ensure that students entering the Academy can complete a university-track program.
The application is considered by the Rundle Academy Admissions Committee, and if Rundle Academy appears to be suitable for the needs of the student, then a pre-admission family interview and student tour is scheduled with the admissions coordinator at Rundle Academy.
Interviews offer a wonderful opportunity to have a more personal conversation with a member of the Admissions Team.
These meetings help us to get to know your child and your family better — and they help you get to know Rundle Academy better!
We are excited to extend contract offers to selected candidates. These offers come from the Admissions Office.
Tuition fees vary based on the payment option chosen. For tuition payment details, please visit here.
Applicants to Rundle Academy must have an independent psychoeducational assessment conducted prior to applying to the school. Rundle does not conduct these assessments but can make recommendations to psychologists who may be available to assess prospective students. The assessment needs to have been conducted within the last three years of the application date.
The assessment needs to include both academic and intellectual testing. The tests that best fit these criteria are typically the WISC and the WIAT. Our mandate is to serve students who have average to above-average intelligence and are diagnosed with a learning disability. Your son or daughter must be eligible for specific coding through Alberta Learning.
