Leadership

Character development is integrated into the fabric of Rundle Academy. Our faculty has developed a vision for citizenship and attributes we will be encouraging in our daily lives in and around the school.  Through school-related outings, guest speakers and in daily life, we will foster and encourage compassion, integrity, perseverance, involvement, respect and responsibility.

At Rundle Academy we encourage our students to participate in the many leadership opportunities provided. Students in all grades can join Kids Helping Kids, Student Council or our Ambassadors program to further develop their leadership capacities. Numerous additional student-driven leadership opportunities are created throughout the school year.

Starting in Grade 9, Rundle Academy students are enrolled in the Duke of Edinburgh Program. This is a self-directed program that aims to increase student involvement in their community.  Through learning new skills, volunteering and being active in the environment, students gain levels of distinction that earn Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

Rundle Academy is also committed to fostering global awareness and citizenship and takes great pride in providing community-minded service learning programs. Annually, our students volunteer hundreds of  hours through various programs in our local and global communities. Through volunteering efforts, Rundle students become true difference makers and compassionate young citizens.
