Academics

Rundle College is registered as a Private School under Alberta's School Act and accountable to Alberta Education in delivering the rigorous provincial curriculum. As such, Rundle reports to and is thoroughly inspected by Alberta Education.

All of our teachers are certified by Alberta Education and provide a dynamic and challenging program that fosters the intellectual, social and personal development of our students.

The demanding academic curriculum is balanced and further enriched with a variety of experiences in music, languages, technology, physical education and fine arts. Field trips, guest presenters, and artist residencies contribute to a busy and fulfilling school life for our students.

In high school our Honours Program challenges our highest academic achieving students to become critical thinkers and problem solvers. Through our Honours Program, students embrace their passion in a particular subject area. Rundle College does not offer the International Baccalaureate program or Advanced Placement courses.

Small classroom environments engage students in their learning, provide more meaningful classroom discussion and develop a closer connection to their teachers committed  to their academic and personal success. Our students perform very well on both Provincial Achievement Tests and Diploma Exams. Our Diploma Exam results consistently rank Rundle College among the top schools in Alberta.
