Orientation Camps
Rundle Academy will start the year off with orientation camps for students to get together and build a sense of community.

Grade 4-6 students will spend two days (one overnight) at Camp Kindle on September 10 and 11.

Grade 7-8 students will spend two days (one overnight) at Camp Chief Hector on September 9 and 10.

Grade 9 students will spend three days (two overnights) at Camp Chief Hector from September 9-11.

Grade 10 students will spend two days (one overnight) at Camp Evergreen on September 11 and 12.

Grade 11-12 students will spend two days (one overnight) at Camp Horizon on September 11 and 12.
Some returning students have received camp information. More camp information will be sent to all families once school starts back up, including the specific times, locations, fees, and packing lists.
School Uniform
We encourage all families to review our 2025-26 Uniform Guide as soon as possible. Students are expected to have all uniform pieces in place for the start of the year. Please ensure orders are made through Top Marks with sufficient time for production and delivery. Information about online ordering can be found in this PDF.
New families have already received an email identifying what Rundle house your child has been placed in, and how to purchase a house shirt.
School Sports
Academy Senior High students interested in joining the Rundle College football team in the fall are encouraged to check out the latest newsletter from the College athletic director. Football practices begin Monday, August 18.
School Supplies
Families do not need to purchase school supplies. School supplies are provided by Rundle, except for headphones. Families are asked to purchase a set of pluggable headphones (noise cancelling are preferred).
Senior High students will also need to purchase a graphing calculator, however specifics will come from the math department once the school year begins.
New students will receive school technology and all school supplies on the first day of classes. Returning students should bring their existing technology on the first day of classes, and will receive school supplies that day.
A supply and yearbook fee will be added to students’ PowerSchool account.

School Supplies
Families do not need to purchase school supplies at the College K-3 level. All school supplies are provided by Rundle.
Parent Volunteers – Police Information Check
Parents who wish to volunteer at Rundle must have a Police Information Check (PIC) completed and submitted to the school. This process is managed by the Calgary Police Service, and can take a few weeks to complete.
To volunteer in September, please complete your PIC by the end of July.
Complete a PIC online or visit any Calgary Police district office to request a Vulnerable Sector police check. If you have any questions or would like to submit your PIC to Rundle, please email jraptis@rundle.ab.ca.

Students can participate in overnight grade trips in spring 2026: Drumheller (grade 4), Kamp Kiwanis (grade 5), and Victoria, B.C. (grade 6). Learn more about next year’s trips here, including details and estimated fees.

Orientation Camp & Leadership Days Information
Grade 7 students will attend Camp Evergreen on October 16 and 17 for Orientation Camp. Grade 9 WEB leaders will join them to support their introduction to the Junior High. The remainder of the Grade 8s and 9s will participate in Leadership Days at school on those same days this year. More details to come in September, and no preparation is needed during the summer months.
School Sports
Junior High students interested in joining the cross country or volleyball teams in the fall are encouraged to check out the latest newsletter from our athletic director. Volleyball tryouts begin Thursday, September 4; and cross country practices begin Thursday, September 11.

Orientation Meetup – Friday, August 29
To start the year, we are inviting all Studio students and parents to join us for a start of the year meetup on Friday, August 29 from 9-11 am in the gym at Rundle College’s 7-12 building (7375 17 Avenue SW, Calgary). This will be a great opportunity for students to get together, see who is in their Teacher Advisor Groups, participate in fun house team activities, and meet new students to Rundle Studio. Our IT team will also be on hand to assist any students with their laptops or technology.
Dress code for orientation is spirit wear. New students who have not yet received Rundle spirit wear should wear school-appropriate casual clothes.
Orientation Camps

- Junior High students will spend two days (no overnight) at Camp Riveredge on September 8 and 9.
- Senior High students will be going overnight to Camp Chestermere on September 8 and 9.
