First Day of School – Tuesday, September 2
The first day of school for all Academy students is Tuesday, Sept. 2. The school day begins at 8:10 am and ends at 3:05 pm.
All students can wear spirit wear during the first week of school (September 2-5). Spirit wear includes a Rundle-branded spirit wear top and bottoms of their choice. (Our 2025-26 Uniform Guide provides further clarification on appropriate dress.)
On the first day of school, your child should bring a water bottle, bagged lunch, and plug-in headphones. Students may wish to bring a hat for time outside. Returning students must also bring their Rundle devices. All other school supplies will be provided by Rundle.

Academy Campus Traffic Routines
Please review our Academy Traffic Routines for information on traffic procedures, as well as drop-off and pick-up routines to ensure safe travel on and off campus. We ask parents to be patient and mindful as construction is happening on and around campus.
School Uniform and Used Uniform Sale
We encourage all families to review our 2025-26 Uniform Guide to familiarize yourself with the uniform expectations.
The used uniform sale that kicks off the school year happens on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Friday, Sept. 5 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm in the Academy’s Fine Arts Centre.
Orientation Camps
Rundle Academy will start the year off with orientation camps for students to get together and build a sense of community. Dates of these camps range from September 10 through 12, depending on grade. Please keep an eye on your email for further information about Orientation Camps.
Ready, Set, Rundle Parent Event – Academy Families
Join us Monday, Sept. 15 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm in the gymnasium for Rundle’s take on a memorable parent social and meet-the-teacher event. Enjoy delicious food, refreshments, and mingling with fellow parents and the staff supporting your child’s education. No RSVP is required, and this is an adult-only event.
Academy Welcome Back Picnic
Parents and students are invited to join us on September 4 after school for food trucks, games, mingling, and more. This annual event is a great way to come together as an Academy community to kick off the year. We encourage you to bring your extended family, including grandparents, to take part in the fun!
School Supplies
Families do not need to purchase school supplies. School supplies are provided by Rundle, except for headphones. Families are asked to purchase a set of plug-in headphones (noise cancelling are preferred).
Senior High students will also need to purchase a graphing calculator, however specifics will come from the math department once the school year begins.
New students will receive school technology and all school supplies on the first day of classes. Returning students should bring their existing technology on the first day of classes, and will receive school supplies that day.
A supply and yearbook fee will be added to students’ PowerSchool account.

First Day of School – Tuesday, September 2
The first day of school for all College K-6 students is Tuesday, Sept. 2. Students can be dropped off between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m., and can be picked up at their assigned pick-up zones between 1:30 and 1:50 pm. (Reference slides 7-11 on this document for pick-up zones.)
Staff will be on hand to help students meet up with their classroom teachers outside. Unless necessary, parents are asked to stay in their vehicles during drop-off to prepare their child for the new routine, and to help ensure smooth traffic flow.
All students can wear spirit wear during the first week of school (September 2-5). Spirit wear includes a Rundle-branded spirit wear top and bottoms of their choice. (Our 2025-26 Uniform Guide provides further clarification on appropriate dress.)
On the first day of school, your child should bring a backpack (no school supplies), black indoor uniform shoes, gym shoes, a snack, and a water bottle.
We are hosting a barbecue lunch for students and staff, which will include beef, vegetarian, vegan, and chicken dogs, as well as gluten-free buns. Students will also get a bag of chips and a juice box. Please pack a non-microwavable lunch if your child will not participate in the barbecue.

Parent Volunteers – Police Information Check
Parents who wish to volunteer at Rundle must have a Police Information Check (PIC) completed and submitted to the school. This process is managed by the Calgary Police Service, and can take a few weeks to complete.
Complete a PIC online or visit any Calgary Police district office to request a Vulnerable Sector police check. If you have any questions or would like to submit your PIC to Rundle, please email jraptis@rundle.ab.ca.
Childcare Program
Rundle offers childcare for College K-6 students. After-school care begins on Tuesday, Sept. 2, and before-school care begins on Wednesday, Sept. 3. Email mayer@rundle.ab.ca to learn more.

Orientation Meetup – Friday, August 29
All Studio students and parents are invited to join us for an orientation meetup on Friday, Aug. 29 from 9:00-11:00 am in the gym at Rundle College’s 7-12 building (7375 17 Avenue SW, Calgary). This will be a great opportunity to get together, see who is in their Teacher Advisor Groups, participate in house team activities, and meet new students. Our IT team will be on hand to assist students with their laptops or technology.
Dress code for orientation is Spirit Wear. New students who have not yet received Rundle spirit wear should wear school-appropriate casual clothes.
Parents are welcome to drop off used uniform items that they no longer need. These items will be available at the first Used Uniform Sale of the school year (date and time to be determined).
First Day of School – Tuesday, September 2
The first day of school for all Rundle Studio students is Tuesday, Sept. 2. Students should all be online for an 8:15 am start.
All students can wear spirit wear during the first week of school (September 2-5). Spirit wear includes a Rundle-branded spirit wear top and bottoms of their choice. (Our 2025-26 Uniform Guide provides further clarification on appropriate dress.)
On the first day of school (and every school day), your child should have their laptop and iPad ready and charged (or plugged in). Students need to have Zoom open and be logged in with their Rundle-issued Google account. This is important so that teachers can contact them.
At 8:15 a.m. every morning, students must check in with their TA. They can find their TA Zoom link on the Canvas home page under “Connections.”
Students should also be wearing the appropriate school uniform, based on the schedule in the Must-Know Manual.
