Bosco’s Story: Finding Confidence and Connection

Bosco’s journey to Rundle Studio is one of resilience, personal growth, and discovering a place where he truly belongs. Before joining Rundle Studio, Bosco faced significant challenges with anxiety in a traditional school setting. The busy hallways and the pressures of the social environment often left him feeling overwhelmed and unsure. “I didn’t always know where I needed to be or how to get there,” he recalls. Making friends was difficult, and despite his desire to connect, his nervousness often led him to withdraw.

Everything changed when Bosco joined Rundle Studio in grade 7. In this more supportive and understanding environment, his anxiety began to ease, and in its place a newfound confidence emerged. “I’ve made lots of friends at Rundle Studio,” Bosco proudly shares. “Now I know that if I can make friends here, I can easily make friends in person, too!” Without the weight of social pressures, Bosco has been able to focus on his academics and fully embrace his potential.

In June, Bosco’s remarkable transformation was recognized when he was awarded the Rundle Studio Citizenship Award for his kindness and leadership. Rundle Studio teacher Alice Song fondly remembers Bosco’s enthusiasm during orientation camp. “Bosco has so much spirit and positivity. He went around to everyone, making friends and sharing his joy. He even made a point to thank our bus driver. That’s just who Bosco is: genuine, kind, and thoughtful. Everyone loves him!”

Bosco’s kindness doesn’t end with his smile. A fellow student shared that Bosco often stays after class to help her with assignments, demonstrating his generosity and desire to support those around him. His journey at Rundle Studio is a testament to the power of a nurturing community; one that encourages not just academic success, but also emotional growth and connection.

Bosco’s passion for learning shines through in his love for animals and biology. Fascinated by how animals evolve and survive, he dreams of working with them in the future. Thanks to Rundle Studio’s flexible and tailored learning environment, Bosco has been able to explore these interests and flourish.

His story is a reminder of how the right environment can change a student’s life. At Rundle Studio, he has found a place where he can thrive academically and socially, and grow into a confident, compassionate individual. His journey is one of finding connection, purpose, and a sense of belonging.
