Rundle at 40: Allison Belt Joins our Community

As we celebrate 40 Memorable Moments over 40 years of Rundle history, we’re excited to move into the 1990s and recognize the arrival of another key member of our community who has made a lasting impact: Mrs. Allison Belt.

Mrs. Belt arrived at Rundle in 1992, joining the College’s growing science department in its early days. She taught senior high biology at the College, where her enthusiastic and personable approach immediately made an impact on all students that entered her class.

In 2012, Mrs. Belt would serve as the Head of Senior School for four years before becoming the Principal of Rundle College Senior High in 2016. Known for her thoughtful leadership and care for students and staff, over her near decade of principalship, she has helped shape a culture of excellence and belonging at the College, supporting all senior high students for success post-graduation.

For more than 30 years, Mrs. Belt has shaped the heart of Rundle through her dedication to students and learning. In 2024, her impact was recognized with the renovation of our Great Hall, now named in her honour.

Rundle is deeply grateful for Mrs. Belt’s leadership and lasting influence, which has shaped and will continue to shape our community for generations to come.

I hope that when people enter this space, they don’t see my name. I hope they see this: Be Kind, Be Curious, Be Well. If we all aspire to realize those values, Rundle will be an amazing place today and in the future.
