Community Impact: How Generosity Plays a Role at Rundle

Our community is making a tremendous impact on our students.

We recently wrapped up our first-ever matching campaign as a charity partner in the Shaw Birdies for Kids program, presented by Altalink. This was an amazing fundraising opportunity for Rundle; all donations made to our schools by our community were matched up to 50% by the Shaw Charity Classic Foundation. On top of this, Shaw added a boost with their Chip-in for Kids Text to Donate Campaign leading up to their Charity Classic PGA Tour Champions Tournament held in August. Chip-in for Kids $10 donations made to Rundle via text were matched, dollar for dollar, by both Shaw and the Shaw Classic Foundation for a total of $30 per gift!

Together with our community and Shaw’s matching pool, we raised $45,000 for our Rundle schools!

We can’t thank our community enough for their generosity throughout this campaign and for their continued support for Rundle. We are happy to share that the funds raised with this campaign will be directed towards covering the cost of additional health and safety resources and equipment required to keep our staff and students safe and in the classroom last school year.

We hope to participate in the Shaw Charity Classic matching campaign again in 2022 and kick off our second annual BFK campaign this spring.  In the meantime, if you are considering a gift to Rundle, we would encourage you to take advantage of any employee matching programs offered by your employer or make your gift through the ATB Cares donation page to make your donation go even further (20% match up to $500). For more information on ATB Cares or Rundle’s giving program and how you can elevate the student experience, please visit our Giving page or contact us at giving@rundle.ab.ca.

Thank you again for your support and we wish you another successful year at Rundle!
