Leaving a Legacy: Emily Frizzle Memorial Endowment Bursary

Emily Frizzle began her Rundle Academy journey in grade five and quickly became an integral part of our community. Through the years, Emily developed a love of athletics, participating in a variety of sports while always being the consummate team player. She also brought her collaborative spirit to the classroom, where she was always willing to help her fellow classmates reach their goals while striving for her own academic excellence. Emily’s evolution as a student during her time at Rundle Academy was profound. She became a student who embraced accommodations and developed advocacy skills beyond her years.  

Emily’s family invites you to contribute to the Emily Frizzle Memorial Endowment Bursary Fund, providing bursaries to Rundle Academy students. Their wish is for other students to be able to have the same life-changing educational experience Emily was able to have as part of the Rundle Academy community. 

In establishing Emily’s endowment fund, the principal of the endowment fund will be held unspent, in perpetuity, with Rundle College Society, while the earnings from the invested assets will be used to provide bursaries for current Rundle Academy students as per her family’s wish.

Each year, Emily’s Bursary will sponsor deserving students enrolled at the Academy who require financial assistance to continue their learning journey at Rundle. Emily left a lasting impression on our Academy family and together we will continue to celebrate her memory and ongoing contributions to our community.
