Why We Give — The Gooi Family Story
Published on May 11, 2022
Rundle is a school built on the generosity of our community. Our exceptional programs, facilities, and initiatives are funded by charitable donations made by our families, staff, alumni, and friends. We wouldn’t be able to provide the Rundle experience to all of our incredible students without their support.
Patrick and Christy Liu, whose three daughters currently attend Rundle College, share their reasons for giving.
“Our three children love attending Rundle. We often talk about volunteering our time and giving when we can, and that small acts of kindness can make a huge difference. After learning that Rundle was fundraising for a piano for the Christmas concert, we knew this was a great opportunity to help give back to the school community that has provided a safe and happy place for our children in these challenging times. There is something special that happens whenever someone plays the piano and makes music come alive. The kids start dancing a little faster, or sometimes a student expresses themselves in a way words can’t. Hopefully, the students will use the piano as an opportunity to grow and challenge themselves, and we are very proud to have played a small role in that.
Giving to Rundle is how we show our gratitude to the engaging learning environment Rundle has created for students to thrive and flourish. Rundle is clear and committed to its mission and has the passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable staff who go above and beyond everyday. We understand how important it is to volunteer and financially support the independent school model and, more importantly, support Rundle’s mission and accelerate its purposeful impact on student experience.”
We would like to thank all of our donors for their support of our students and programs and for making it possible for us to continue to serve this very special community. You make all the difference!
